MERCER COUNTY BUSINESS RETENTION AND EXPANSION PROGRAM (BREP)


Mercer County's Business Retention and Expansion Program (BREP) is a systematic call program designed to retain, expand, and attract jobs, to expand the tax base through capital investment, and to stay in touch with businesses in Mercer County.   Through a site visitation and 30-60 minute one-on-one interview, a company profile is developed that includes historic information as well as current and anticipated resource needs. Information is then compiled in a secured, centralized, computer database to maintain confidentiality.

Company needs are then assessed and matched to the expertise of local, regional and state economic development agencies.


The result...a targeted, rapid response to the unique growth and development needs of the companies in the Mercer County area.

BREP visits to local businesses are made by the executives of the Chambers of Commerce in Mercer County.  They include:


The Mercer County Business Retention Program is financed, in part, through the PA Department of Community and Economic Development to identify and address the needs of existing PA business and industrial firms.
