Pennsylvania International Week is offered in conjunction with our new annual Business and Economic Development Conference and Expo, titled Make the Connection: Plug into Local Resources and scheduled for Sept. 15, 2010. Attendees may choose to attend one or both days. The event will provide valuable networking opportunities and break-out sessions on export training, government contracting opportunities, small business financing, and benefits of the Keystone Innovations Zone program. In addition, participants will learn about new initiatives and developments impacting the region such as Penelec Act 129 & the Elimination of Penelec Rate Caps; the Erie Inland Port; the Marcellus Shale, the Takt Triangle (collaborative marketing); and an Overview of the Economy of Northwestern PA provided by Dr. James Kurre, Penn State Behrend. Lunch Keynote Speaker: Lorenzo Simonelli, President and CEO of GE Transportation!
